Late Updates:

Lets head right in: Sorry for the lack of updates , it’s been a busy time for us on a number of fronts! We will be attending Memorabilia in Birmingham November 19-20th and the NEC. Tables F1 16 and 17. We will have some interesting stuff with us and folks at NSU will also have an exclusive of some sort.

At the moment Age of Sorcery is winging it’s way to a number of customers and dealers, after a number of delays this set is hitting the street now. The delay is a culmination of factors, and has had a knock on effect for several products. As of now War of the Worlds is on hold, this set is close to completion, and it WILL be coming out, however the timing has changed. We are instead working on a War of the Worlds set that covers the Jeff Wayne musical. At the moment production proofs of a P1 Promo have been sent away for approval. This set opens up a great deal of potential autographs and other exciting premium inserts, and we hope to make it the first of several new War of the Worlds products. If for some reason this set halts we will swap to our original product which at this stage we could bring to market within 2 months.

The art of J.D. Seeber is one of the sets I am asked about most often at this point, yes it is still coming out! It has also been delayed, this is simply due to J.D’s work commitments, he is a talented and popular guy, and rather than cut corners and rush sketch card he is taking his time. The upshot is more sketch cards will be going into this limited product, and you can expect a P2 promo card very soon.

Dixon’s Vixens Series II is in the works and may well be with us before the end of the year. Look out for a cool trading card game next year! Details about that will come out in due course.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a new set due in 2012 which is going to cover the first 12 Conan Doyle short stories. This is the first of several sets that will in time encompass all of the official Sherlock Holmes stories. These sets will include a range of exciting inserts, including sketch cards, props and autographs from actors who have portrayed Holmes or related characters over the years. Diverging from from the official stories we have some other Holmes related merchandise coming soon, including a fantastic set from Robert Hack, “The Adventure of the Martian Mystery”

Also in time for Christmas we are re-releasing Sherlock Holmes and Victorian Crime as a factory set! For those that missed it the first time this is a chance to obtain the second edition. This second edition is limited to 200 numbered sets and comes with corresponding numbered MC1 and MC2 cards along with the MZF card 19. Some packs have extras, (the odd sketch has slipped in approx: 1:30 packs. This set is very limited and will be available at Memorabilia in November for £9.99, some dealers may have limited stock before this.

Military Propaganda & Poster Series 1 is moving forward rapidly.  The new P2 and P3 promos will be available shortly and pre orders will open in November for a shipping date of Jan. This is limited to only 1,000 sets worldwide and interest has been very very strong. RRP will be between £16-£20 ($25-$30). It’s going to be a 36 card factory set with a lot of chase cards and we have a number of interesting redemption items including some very high quality reproduction posters, and most excitingly some authentic vintage posters and memorabilia to give away. Below is a small selection.

In addition to these, we have several others in the pipeline, including some very exciting comic related sets which I hope to be able to officially announce soon! We are also going to be looking for artists to work on upcoming sets, and we will be a lot more organised about this. I will post some specific contact details here and on Scoundrel later in the week.

In other news, we are in the process of moving the office and home so things are very chaotic, while packing and moving we discovered substantial water damaged to a number of things, including about £1000.00+ worth of promo cards from my personal collection that sadly have been thrown in the trash. A very very bad day indeed, as this was a collection that had taken 10+ years to amass. Keep your cards in plastic boxes folks! You never know when disaster will strike.

I am desperate to talk about the new Upper Deck lawsuits sadly I just don’t have the time to do it justice. Sufficed to say it became clear in the Upper Deck USA counter suit that Richard McWilliam was officially a pill-popping alcoholic. Interesting defence tactic… I don’t have enough time to do the story justice at this point, but Paul Lesko over at The Cardboard Connection is covering it in detail. Sadly he’s a lot nicer about it than I would be, but if you haven’t read it you really should, his Law of Cards is always a great read!
